MYFC Angels is the umbrella name for the girls football teams. Qualified coaches run every team and are led by Becky Knox, a Level 2 qualified football coach and a sports coach by profession.
Our girls teams are organised by age group. Our youngest age group is U8 (Year 3) and currently in the 20/21 Season our eldest age group is U15 (Year 10).
After Easter each season we run a Spring/Summer programme to start a new U7 age group for girls nearing the end of Year 2 at school. We run this programme in association with the FA as part of their national SSE Wildcats programme to encourage more girls to give football a try. We have now been running our Wildcats programme for 3 years and it has been a great success!
For girls below Year 2, we encourage them to join our Mixed Football age groups as we believe this is best for their development.
We have approximately 130 girls playing football across all our age groups. Some of our groups are very popular but we do our best to give playing opportunities to all girls who want to play whatever their ability. As a local community football club we want all our players to develop and have fun playing football with their friends
All our teams have FA qualified coaches and train once a week during the football season. Various training venues in and around Marlborough are used.
Girls’ teams who are U9 (Year 4) and older play in the Wiltshire County Women’s and Girls’ Football League. Most fixtures are played on Saturday mornings. League fixtures are listed on the FA’s Full Time website here and then selecting the relevant age group and division.
Our U8 girls (Year 3) play in regular girls’ football festivals organised by the girls’ league and Wiltshire FA. These are usually held on Sunday mornings
Player Enquiries
Please email all player enquiries to playerenquiries@myfc.me.uk including your player’s name and current School Year.
We’ill then put you in touch with the correct Team Manager who can give you more information about their age group including training times and locations. We can also provide more information about the Club membership process but you can also learn more about that here. We prefer that all players attend at least one trial and speak to the Team Manager before submitting a membership application for approval.
