Well over 200 players playing and practicing, 15 teams participating in league football (including the first ever MYFC girls team playing league football, Angels U12). Many MYFC players have participated in elevated football development playing and practicing with clubs and county. At the same time we have had many teams that have represented the club fantastically well, and with great success, in league and tournaments. Well done to all our players, it has been fantastic to see the development and the joy displayed throughout the season.

MYFC Player of the Year 2016/17 – Parents and public vote
For the first time ever, MYFC went out to the players parents and the wider community to ask for help in voting the MYFC Player of the Year 2016/17. We received a fantastic level of response with almost 200 votes received in the end. In nominating the player, Team Manager U8 Ben Danielsen said; ““Going into the season, the U8 received the Don Rogers Sportsmanship Trophy from the league. This was based on the great level of sportsmanship and fair play shown in the previous season. This last season, Samuel have embodied this and shown that this tradition of sportsmanship continues in the team! Great attendance and he puts in 100% in practice and match. A very fair playing boy who has on occasions pointed out to the ref that he (the ref) has awarded us (MYFC) something wrongly and the decision should have gone the other way. He is quick to apologize to the opposition when a tackle have been unfair or too hard. Samuel is a joy to work with and an example for his team mates!†All of MYFC congratulates Samuel Perez Kolenkiewicz, MYFC U8, in winning the award for MYFC Player of the Year 2016/17 – Parent and public vote!
MYFC Player of the Year 2016/17 – Coaches vote
With 15 teams participating in league football and with many more teams playing in Mini Football from the age of 4 and with younger age groups in Angels not yet playing league football, the Club Committee, Team Managers and Coaches in MYFC are putting in a tremendous level of work to organize everything. In total we are counting over 40 volunteers and coaches. In the nomination for this particular player, Team Manager U17 John Evans said;”Great member of the U17 squad, great defender, fast, strong, always first to put his body on the line. Great attitude, never, ever complains about anything, ever present at training. Highly respected by all teammates. Now also a MYFC coach working with Alex Reynolds on Saturday mornings (great feedback received)â€. All of MYFC congratulates Tom Amer, MYFC U17, in winning the award for MYFC Player of the Year 2016/17 – Coaches vote!
