MYFC U8s went to Cold Ash Festival of Football on the May Bank holiday. The group play consisted of 6 matches and the team managed to win 5 and they drew one. With that the team was the highest scoring team in their age group and went through to the finals.
In the final MYFC played against Tornadoes Black from Thatcham. At full time the result was 0-0 and it went to a penalty shoot out. In the shoot out we lost 3-1 after some amazing saves by the Tornadoes goal keeper!
Throughout he day, the team played some fantastic football and supported each other on and off the pitch.
The disappointment of not winning was soon forgotten and the smiles was back on with the realisation that we did make it all the way to the finals!
